Conroe Regional Medical Center - Medical Care Review from Alexandria, Louisiana

I went to Conroe Regional Medical Center ER after a fall that displaced my knee. The staff was rude plain and simple. I was put in a room V/S taken and put in exam room where nurse left, husband got me on table, nurse came back in and took a few questions told me to get in wheelchair, didn't help left. Did X/ray and nurse asked if I needed something for pain. Took me in lobby, left. 1 1/2 hours later nothing.. Asked and took B/P which was 200/84 probably due to pain and my leg being left down, gave me pain pull , Zofran for nausea and left me in lobby. There 3 hours in lobby, given meds in lobby, told B/P was very high and left whole time in lobby. Never saw a physician whole time I was there! Not for one minute ever! I'm a nurse and I personally would never do a patient that way, let alone five them mess and leave them sitting up in a wheelchair unattended or checked on by a medical staff! Talk about liability ! What if I'd fallen out of chair, stroked from high B/P?? Worst lake of care ever!! And I have insurance! Did nothing for me, should have not gone. ... Cindy Bell

Treating me for unrelated illnesses and giving me medication i was no longer on and saying i was not complying with dr orders and refusing medication

I was recently admitted into CRMC through the ER . I had gone in due to stomach related issues , now I have always used Conroe as my main hospital because of it being close and that my dr.'s can access my records through a common website they use , now I had gone to see my hand surgeon who advised me that he needed me to go to Conroe so that he could perform a finger amputation that was in july 2013 , now a few months later I had gone to my primary dr for chest pains and the proper measurements were done for that and about a month or two later I had gone to the hospital again for abdominal pains, at that time they had asked about my current medications I had told them a list of medications that I was currently on and at that time I was on heart medication for congestive heart failure I was there for a few hours and released with antibiotics well I followed up with my personal dr and was sent to be tested if I was getting better from the congestive heart failure and to our surprise it was gone with only the heart being slightly enlarged and then a different medication was prescribed for that and another follow up was done and I no longer had any problems from my heart , now I recently went to the hospital once again and during the patient intake process I gave the a whole different list of medications and what I was currently being treated for apparently that didn't matter and were giving me heart medication I no longer needed and when I refused the medication they said I was being uncooperative and refusing medication the dr assigned to me was giving me so I was being difficult in my treatment but I didn't go in for my heart my heart is perfectly fine I told the nurse how ever she marked it down as being uncooperative and being difficult when I asked her to bring me the dr or records or test they ran on my heart since my admittance she failed to do so and kept trying to give me all the wrong medication. I asked to bring me discharge papers that I wanted to leave she then threatened me that my insurance would not cover my stay and that they may refuse to treat me if I came back and that I couldn't leave that I had to wait for the dr that was at 3:00 in the afternoon shift change starts at 7:00 and is completed by 8:00 , it was already 9:00 at night and still no nurse no dr no one came .. so I removed my own iv's and walked out the hospital I refused to stay there another min when I had asked repeatedly to talk or see someone .. then because of the finger amputation I had in july where my hand surgeon picked Conroe to do the procedure they classified me as having mrsa and I had to be in quarantine and could not leave my room and anyone including my family had to be dressed in a yellow gown when I wasn't admitted for that and I didn't have any infections or any staph !

Best hospital I've ever been too!

The nurses that were treating me were the absolute nicest nurses you could ask for! I stayed for 6 days and never seen the same nurse night after night and everyone of them was as nice as they could be. The only complaint I have is on North 1 the food was always room temperature because they were the last to get served. But other than that everything was great! I don't see how they do it with some of the idiotic patients that they have. If you've ever been in a hospital for a couple of days you should know the routine so why *** about things? You should know the main thing is the waiting so hold your tongue and deal with it!

NCO Reported to Credit Bureau when Medicaid will pay bill

I had been receiving statements from a local medical facility and corresponding with them every month. I am covered by Medicaid, but they were taking forever to pay. I never heard of NCO until they reported this debt to the credit bureau. They stated they sent me letters and tried to contact me via phone, which they did not. They would not give me dates they "contacted" me so I could look them up on my phone bill. After the medical facility told them this account is being handled by Medicaid, they started calling my daughter!! They cannot do that according to law since they never had control of the debt and still don't. They are horrible people. BTW, this should come off my credit record in 30 days.
